I forgot to turn my 2fa back on and I think my password was still , so you can guess what happened if I’m referring to it as an incident.

Luckily, I was online at the time and I was working on a program to use AI to summarize the forums (you know, just because). I noticed a topic saying “I hacked 50st” and took care of it all. I also deleted the topics that we discussed me changing accounts, just because I don’t want a treasure trove of passwords if this happens again.

Anyway, it’s taken care of now, and YOU SERIOUSLY SHOULD HAVE A STRONG PASSWORD AND ENABLE YOUR 2FA. I foolishly did not do either, and thank goodness for the coincidence that allowed me to stop it before anything bad happened.

yea we need extra security measures for all admins, the best one would be to enforce 2fa for all admins. while we enforce this ourselves, it’s kinda annoying to log in to everyone’s accounts just to see if they have 2fa, so this is better off with installing a new 2FA extension: https://support.freeflarum.com/d/531--ianmtwofactor

You need to enable 2fa
You can see if a user has 2fa enabled or disabled in the edit user window. Same place you can change their passwords and groups.

50_scratch_tabs I accidentally posted that as you :o I logged in as you to see if you actually had 2fa disabled. But you don’t need to, I only did so to see if the dialog was malfunctioning or if you actually had it disabled. BTW, how does it “force 2fa”? Does it not let you turn it off? Remove your privellages if you do?

I might just download Flarum so I can test these things on my own.

amp I’m working on making my jailbroken Kindle 4th gen into a 2FA device. It’s actually not that hard, except for the interface. I’m not good at UI design (as you know) and Kindle barely has any tools to work with.
