amp It turns out running the .exe just opens the launcher because I already have Minecraft bought (over 9 years or so ago)
I was expecting to see that one setup screen that asks where to install Minecraft so I just wasted some 20-30 mebibytes for nothing 
I just want to know how to play the demo version of Minecraft without logging out of my Microsoft account or requesting a refund
Unrelated but what Linux distro is that?
