This is a guide moderators should follow when performing actions on the forum.
## Flagged posts
There is a [fas]flag[/fas] button in the header for admins, which will be coloured white when there are flagged or unapproved posts to review. Click it to open a list of flagged posts. Clicking a flagged post will highlight it with the **[fas]check[/fas] Approve** and **[fas]trash[/fas] Delete** buttons.
* If the post is appropriate for the forums, click **[fas]check[/fas] Approve**.
* If the post is **NOT** appropriate for the forums or is spam, click **[fas]trash[/fas] Delete**.
* If the post is off-topic, but is appropriate and it fits in a new topic, **[fas]check[/fas] Approve** it, then click [fas]ellipsis-h[/fas] then **[fas]code-branch[/fas] Split from here**.
## Editing posts
Sometimes posts may violate the guidelines and need to be edited. If this is the case, click [fas]ellipsis-h[/fas] then **[fas]pencil[/fas] Edit**.
Note that the old post will still be left intact, unless you delete it. To do this, click "Edited", click the previous revision, and click "Options" and "Delete".
