Archiving past AmpMod versions

Anyways, I managed to archive every single past version of AmpMod that’s currently available online right now by saving them as html files with their js and css included. Had some trouble downloading them because just today my laptop has started working against me by canceling the downloads automatically without me ever clicking anything so I had to switch to a different OS instead. I got 0.2.0 through 50st’s mirror and 0.2.2+1 from the good ol’ official AmpMod website. Oh, and also, I got a canary build of AmpMod from 29 August.

The html’s semi-work - most of the icons and images don’t even show up and the sprite, costume, backdrop and sound libraries are completely broken.

Still missing 0.2.1 and 0.2.2 (the one without the +1) though. Would @amp be nice enough to provide me the html’s for those please?

you could probably get old git commits from ampmod/pages on codeberg, or build ampmod locally from old commits (you might want to use the versions from the ampmod-archive codeberg organization, which hosts a snapshot of ampmod’s code prior to the monorepo migration). the internet archive might have something too.

amp you might also want to add information about AmpMod 0.2.0 and 0.2.1 on the wiki too
Also, a question, were there any versions prior to 0.2.0?

amp how would I be able to get old git commits, and how would I be able to build AmpMod locally, especially from old commits? (I assume you have to download something or whatever)
Also, I can’t get old git commits from ampmod/pages on codeberg because most of the commits are just CI cleanup commits, which is my least favourite type of commit ever

first you need to install git. open a terminal then run a command to install git (sudo pacman -S git for arch users, sudo apt install git for ubuntu/debian/mint users, winget install --id Git.Git -e for windows users)
clone the ampmod/pages repository in a terminal (run git clone https://codeberg.org/ampmod/pages), then run:

git log --invert-grep --grep="Woodpecker CI - Clean up."

you can then scroll around and try to find the date of an update that interests you. updates from pre-codeberg will need to be rebuilt from ampmod-archive. i will archive some of the important versions at some point.

This is the very first commit of AmpMod. Officially back on the internet.
It did basically nothing to TW besides chnging the default sprite though.
