How do I make a pull request?

I have no clue how to make a pull request. Please help.

Abdavark fork a repository (dont change anything in the text boxes), make changes to that forked repository, then go back to the repository that you forked from, make a pull request by clicking on the “pull requests” tab and clicking on that big blue button right next to the search bar, then select one of the branches with your username on it as the branch to pull from (the right dropdown, If you’re making a pull request on the ampmod monorepo then select yourusername:develop), then click on the “new pull request” button. Don’t worry about anything below that button, that just gives you a summary of what you changed

unconstructable13 Just to make the point, we recommend creating a new branch when you create PRs to prevent merge conflicts. E.g. if you are adding a new block we recommend add-new-block (replace new-block with your block name).
You can do this by going to your fork, clicking “develop”, and typing in the branch name you want to use. It cannot contain spaces and should not contain capital letters or punctuation. Instead of spaces, you should use a hyphen. Some examples can be found in the monorepo.

Create a branch
Make your changes (we recommend using a code editor such as VS Code; the web editor built into Codeberg is highly discouraged since it does not allow testing your code and is more vulnerable to causing bugs)
Push your changes to your fork
Make the PR on upstream

I understand to use something like VS Code, but how exactly do I preview it? How would I give VS Code access to the rest of the repository so I can preview it?

Abdavark First, you need to install VS Code as shown on https://code.visualstudio.com.
Then, ensure you have git (the version tracker used by AmpMod) installed. The method to install git depends on your system so search it up. It is a CLI tool, but VS Code heavily abstracts that into the UI.
Then, install node.js. I recommend using nvm to do this.
You will also need to set up SSH so you can make git pushes.
After this, clone your repo, create a branch from there (I recommend doing it from your fork, just run git switch -c BRANCH_NAME), run npm i and you should be good to go!
