Background
ScratchDB v2 and v3 went down in around May 2024, prompting people to make alternatives to it, but these didn’t stack up well.
There hasn’t been a production-ready alternative to ScratchDB for over a year. The developer did make what i call ScratchDB v4 for Ocular and other tools, but it:
- Does not count post counts
- Does not have a leaderboard
- Is very basic
- Has many missing features
- Appears to have not indexed anything since April 2025
Some people did attempt to make alternatives, but they either never worked, didn’t have searching capability, or weren’t available as an API anyone could use. Thus, I created this project.
This will hopefully provide a true alternative to tools like postpercent, etc.
