If a new user makes a post in the Welcome forum that would be spam in other circumstances, would it still count as spam? If it is, should I still delete the post and give a regular warning, give a polite warning and approve the post, or just approve it and give no warning.
I'm asking this as there is a post in the queue like this as of the time I am writing this, and I would prefer not to scare the user away. Also, Scratch's equivalent forum, the New Scratchers forum, seems to be more lenient with these types of posts than the rest of their forums.
