The off topic tag has had more activity than every other tag by a long shot. At the bottom of page 1 the All Discussions pages (whose name is misleading because it hides some spammy forums including off topic, but it's still a good way to measure actual community activity), the oldest post was around 2 months ago. In Off-topic's first page, it is less than 1 month ago. Also, off-topic's latest post was 3 days ago, but the latest post in All Discussions was 5 days ago iirc, by a New AmpModder, and is also ridiculously vague and repeats an earlier statement.
So I have 3 ideas:
- Ban sensitive or personal topics from off-topic. We should already be doing this. Seems like @unconstructable13 is making Discussions that are too personal to be on the o-t tag.
- Ban New AmpModders from posting at all in off-topic, not just waiting for approval. This isn't too surprising since New AmpModders already can't create Discussions in Off-topic.
- Consider nuking it completely, or splitting it into two more centralised tags.
