So basically. This has nothing to do with pranks. I know it is the first day of the fourth month of the year, which is infamous for the humourous events that happen on such date. Ignore the troll face. That’s a prank that nobody has seen because they didn’t check the forums on April Fools.
My motivation is going extremely downhill. Sorry if I sound a bit angry in this post. It’s just the excessive time spent working on AmpMod.
These Forums have been at their lowest extents of inactivity since the launch of 0.3. Activity is slowing down. However, we had a massive group of people talking about AmpMod over a year ago when the forums launched.
The Wiki is also very inactive.
I’ve watched a couple of YouTube videos made very recently that promote Scratch mods. Not in a single one have I saw AmpMod, despite it seemingly have quite a lot of popularity last year.
The power of AmpMod should be enough for it to be noticeable compared to PenguinMod. We are failing.
Talking about April Fools: we did have a lot of posts exactly 1 year ago. However, today, it is rolling haystacks for a day that internet activity across basically every public website explodes on. I’ve spent the entire day adding more funny stuff, but nobody really seems to care in the slightest.
We don’t have seamless project sharing. But we are working on that, and I think PenguinMod was pretty popular before they implemented that.
The Wiki almost shutting down wasn’t enough at all to save the project. The only way is to spend money on servers and posiblly advertisements which we don’t want.
Development is also literally affecting me myself. I sometimes spend 30 minutes staring at a screen reloading every few minutes to see if someone posted on the forums. There’s like, 3 posts a week.
So, if there isn’t any good news for project activity in the next few months, poof. The Mod will vanish. Goodbye.
