These are the guidelines for posts on the AmpMod forums. If you violate them, consequences will happen. We don’t want that to happen, so read this carefully before you post. Once the AmpMod uploading website is released, posts on this forum must follow the rules there.
if you see anything that violates these guidelines, please flag it by clicking > Flag. Select the reason for flagging the post, or choose “Other” to write your own. Joke, false, or spam reports can result in YOU being banned, so please don’t spam us with joke reports.
Please note that this forum is not affiliated with FreeFlarum. FreeFlarum acts as a hosting service for these forums and does not host them. We have the right to change these guidelines at any time, and if we make changes to the basic rules, you will not be able to post until you accept the new guidelines.
Swearing
Swearing is strictly prohibited on this forum. We aim to maintain a civil environment, and swearing goes against this philosophy.
Some mild “swears” may be allowed. E.g. “damn”, “hell” and “crap” are somewhat acceptable euphemisms. However, do not use them to offend other users or any religious figures, else you will be banned. (OMG is allowed, as long as it is not in a religious context, to avoid offending people following a religion, which includes most of the AmpMod team.)
Personal Information
You may not share or ask for personal info about yourself or others, including but not limited to:
- Your full real name
- Your passwords
- Your birthday or age
- Your school or district name
- Your city/town name, physical address, IP address, etc.
- Your email or phone number
- Links to private messaging sites
- Links to live streams
Posts containing personal information will be edited by a moderator.
Do not link to websites containing personal information of any AmpModders, or directly “dox” AmpModders by posting personal information about them on this site. Doing so will result in being banned, and we may take action against the websites containing personal information, especially highly private information.
Spam
Spam posts will be removed promptly. To help us identify if you are posting in good faith, your first 5 posts and first 3 discussions will automatically be sent for approval.
Do not necrobump irrelevant topics. There is no punishment for that unless it is repeatedly occuring or obviously bad faith, but you will be given a warning.
If you (don’t) support a suggestion in e.g. theSuggestions tag, please explain why you (don’t) support. Posts that simply say “(No) support” will be deleted. If you want to vote on a suggestion, use the voting buttons.
Polls in the off-topic forum must have a purpose.
Anything related to the following:
- Cryptocurrency
- Real-world companies
- Monetisation services
that does not have a clear point in being discussed is considered spam and will be deleted.
Off-topic
Keep off-topic posting to a minimum. Excessive off-topic posting will cause posts to either be deleted, or if they still fit on the forums, split to a new topic.
Image uploads
Images that do not have any apparent use on the AmpMod forums will be removed. If you want to host an image for another forum or a website of some sort, please upload it to another image host.
You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to upload an image. Copyrighted images may be deleted at any time if they are identified, as it may be illegal for FreeFlarum to host them.
Inappropriate images will be deleted even if they are not used.
Uploads are limited to a maximum of 20 MB
Projects
Projects must follow the Project Uploading Guidelines, which are a separate, optional agreement that is only required if you want to upload apz or sb3 files on the forums. We have the right to take down apz or sb3 files at any time.
If your project contains flashing lights, please include a warning in the post containing the project attachment.
Copyright
All posts, discussions, and uploaded files from August 11th, 2025 onwards are licenced under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 licence. If you do not agree to this licence, do not make posts.
Posts before this date did not have a licence enforced by the forums. If the author edits them, they are irrevocably licencing their post under CC-BY-SA 4.0.
As of 2026-01-24, we no longer allow reposting Scratch projects as doing so violates the updated Terms of Service for Scratch. If you own the Scratch project or have permission to reupload it, please add the following to the Notes and Credits or ask the uploader to do so we can verify you own the project: “This project is being reuploaded on an external site providing hosting for Scratch projects. I hereby allow its use under CC-BY-SA 4.0 for this reason.”
Consequences
When you violate the guidelines, you will be given a warning. If it keeps happening, strikes can be given. Continued or severe consequences will result in suspension of your account.
Egregiously severe consequences will result in account deletion and an IP ban. Severe consequences include being disrespectful to a group of people. Use common sense when posting if you don’t want this to happen. You can ask in theHelp with AmpMod forum for help.
For sensitive queries, contact amp electrecutedATgmailDOTcom. Do not post general-purpose queries to this email, else you may be blacklisted from using it.
Moderators
If you are a moderator, you have the ability to read our “Mod guide” which tells you how to moderate the forum. We have set some guidelines in that guide, which you can access in the navbar if you are a moderator. Please read it before doing anything.
